Diagnostic Tests

Our clinic offers a number of diagnostic tests to help to determine the root cause of your problem. This testing may include:

  • Structural (Posture analysis, Range of Motion, Orthopedic Testing, Muscle testing)
  • Neurological (Cerebellar Testing, Eye Tracking, Bilateral Blood Pressure)

All tests are safe, non invasive and are valuable tools to help us to deliver a holistic approach for your optimum health and wellbeing.

Diagnostic Examination Tests

Structural

Postural Analysis - This reveals any imbalances in the way you stand, such as imbalances in the hips, shoulders, knees and ankles. These imbalances may affect the function of the spine and all parts of the body.
Range of Motion – lumbar(lower back) and cervical(neck) movement is assessed for range of motion, pain and restriction..
Orthopedic tests – to identify the area involved.
Muscle testing – the muscles surrounding the joints give feedback about the nervous system integrity and possible areas of dysfunction. This is a valuable tool to demonstrate areas of weakness affected by joint and pelvic dysfunction.
Exercise Programs - once the muscles and nervous system is has improved fuction, an appropriate exercise program will be given to enhance and maintain your results.

Neurological

Cerebellar testing – the cerebellum is a part of the brain concerned with movement, learning and balance.
Eye tracking – eye tracking involves complex brain interaction which is also related to spinal muscle function. This gives us information about brain and nervous system coordination.
Bilateral Blood Pressure – a difference can indicate uneven input and function of the nervous system between the left and right brain.
